Family Break

We are celebrating our 7 year anniversary of arriving in Ireland! We just got back from a much-needed break in Kilkenny. We stayed at a hotel that had some kid-friendly activities: an indoor pool, an outdoor playground, farm animals, and even kid-sized chocolate milk bottles at breakfast. Blake and I each got to take turns enjoying the hot tub and relaxation room (for grown ups only). We went and visited a nearby reptile habitat and a kids soft play place with huge slides. We work hard and play hard, too!

We have come back greatly refreshed and ready to get back into the work that God has called us to do. Happy 7 years to us and here’s to many more.

Seven People Prayer

Saturday at the YWCA training went great! Katy spoke a bit about her life story and some background on how Zoe Community got started. There were people from many different backgrounds who attended the training - some of Christian faith and some not. There was good discussion throughout the day.

Up next, please be in prayer as we begin to advertise for 7 new positions with Zoe - for this ministry to move forward, we need more team members on the ground! We have sent our advertisement (in the form of a letter to the editor) to the Christian magazine for their next issue. We have also been invited to do an interview on one of the Christian radio station’s morning shows.

Please pray for these specific people:

  1. volunteer coordinator

  2. admin person

  3. financial coordinator,

  4. marketing person

  5. volunteer support person

  6. facilities manager

  7. childcare coordinator.

We ask you guys to join us in praying that these people will hear and listen to the voice of the Lord when he asks them to partner with Zoe in a practical way. Pray that the Lord will lead us to people with initiative, integrity, and a heart for ministry. Thanks for supporting us as we go forward!

Prayers on Saturday

We’d love for you guys to be in prayer for this Saturday. We have been invited by the YWCA to share the story of Zoe at their pastoral care training event that day. Katy is preparing to share about her personal story as well as on God’s heart for community.

Please be praying for the people who will be attending this training. Pray for the university students who are on the fence about coming, that God would speak to them. Also, pray that Katy will have the best, most life-giving words to share.
