ZOE COMMUNITY

Zoe Community is a non-profit organisation that provides non-directive support to women and men experiencing the effects of crisis pregnancy. Zoe also provides encouragement to local Irish communities as they provide practical support.

Bottom line, we started Zoe to help college-age women (any age really) and families who may not get the help and support they need due to the stigma of shame surrounding unplanned pregnancy.

Katy is the founder and director of Zoe Community Ireland. In 2015, Katy was pregnant with our second child but had a miscarriage. As we became aware of probable issues, we decided to name the baby Zoe as we fought through prayer for miraculous healing. Zoe means life. She was not healed and is now in heaven.

We decided to be open and share our experiences publicly throughout that long, tough journey. We were taken aback by how many women had been through similar situations but never felt able to tell anyone. Shame, guilt, and hopelessness kept them quiet. God began to speak to us about the women who have no support through very tough situations. The vision was being born for a ministry to change this reality.
