The past few weeks I (Blake) have been traveling around Oklahoma meeting as many current and potentially new supporters as possible. It was an evening 18 days to say the least. I drove my poor rental Nissan Altima over 2,000 miles, met with dozens on people, and even fit a health scare in there for good measure. It was a huge success overall and also a little scary. This is the life of a missionary. One trip down. At least four more to go this year.
God has called us to Ireland, specifically, to launch Zoe Community. Fulfilling this call meant we’ve had to reinvent how we raise money as AG missionaries. On my trip I heard our OKAG Network Leader honor missionaries by acknowledging the difficult reality of leaving home and family to answer God’s call. I realised another difficult aspect is having to leave our new home and family (back in Ireland) to raise money. Fundraising is a full-time gig when you’re raising for your family as well as a start-up ministry. I’m not saying this for sympathy. I’m writing this to say thank you. You’ve played a part in this journey.
I’m so grateful that God has been faithful at every turn. He has provided miraculously for our family as well as for Zoe Community. The main part of that provision is you. If you’re reading this, then it’s very likely you’ve given financially and/or prayed for us. Without you, this could not happen.
While there is still a long road ahead for our fundraising goals, we find encouragement and comfort knowing that God has placed you alongside us. Please continue to pray that God gives us wisdom and strength. Together we will keep seeing miracles happen in the lives of families here in Ireland.
