The past few years I’ve begun taking a portion of my time to put towards coaching church and ministry teams to develop healthy working dynamics. It’s been so fun to work with so many churches, business, and nonprofits as a way to bless them and build relationships here in Ireland. This past week I facilitated a session with the leadership team of Scripture Union. They work with churches, supporting and equipping them as they share the Gospel with children, young people, and families. I’ve had the privilege of coaching them twice now, and they are so fun!
Working with teams has always been a passion of mine (Blake’s). A few years ago, in an effort to learn more about myself and grow as a leader, I got certified as a 6WG facilitator. Coaching teams through this model (as well as other areas of team dynamics like trust, clarity, conflict, etc.) has opened so many doors for new relationships and investment into what God is doing here in Ireland. Working with teams, I’m constantly reminded that we are all individually wired to play our part. The Kingdom of God is a huge body of believers committed to serving Him in various ways. It’s so beautiful and fulfilling to see people and teams grow more fully into the work they’ve been called to do.
Katy and I are thankful for what we get to do. And we’re even more thankful, because we get to work with YOU. Thank you for your faithfulness in playing your role. Together God is using us in the nation of Ireland!
