First, the apologies. I’m sorry I haven’t updated you in a few weeks. I was on the road fundraising for two weeks, but I feel a responsibility to consistently communicate with you, as you are so consistent with your prayers and support. Thank you for your patience.
Now, the provisions. We have a huge task ahead of us over the next 9 months. There are several steps in this process, and this past trip was a successful step 1. We were able to secure a number of gifts (including new support) that will help to bolster Zoe’s financial needs. This sets us up for Step 2 (possibly the most crucial). I’ll be in Oklahoma this February focusing primarily in increasing mine and Katy’s monthly support. Please pray as we will need to raise upwards of $3000/month.
Now for the confession…you will see a photo there. I went golfing. (cue gasp) I’ve actually been trying to take up golf lately, both for exercise and to have a hobby. But that particular photo was a little research round I played with Jason Taylor, because we are planning a…wait for it…Zoe Community golf tournament in Oklahoma!!! No details are official just yet, but stay tuned! (We’re looking at early May.) Details coming soon.
I do not usually name names here regarding who I’ve been meeting with, primarily for privacy, but also in case I forget someone. I’m thankful for every person I’m able to meet with, and I wish I could meet with each one of you. You are all so important to Katy and me and critical to the work God is doing through Zoe Community. I’m so grateful for the foundation you give us to work from, and that foundation will grow through this season.
