The past two weeks in Nashville have been very refreshing. As we finish up time here with my (Blake’s) parents and look forward to spending a couple weeks with Katy’s family in Louisiana, we’ve been reflecting on the past year. Katy and I are grateful for so many people and opportunities through the past year. Here are a few…
Kelsie Whitfield. Kelsie joined us as our first missionary associate. She went above and beyond to help us with day-to-day practical as well as relational aspects of the ministry. Kelsie also was a HUGE blessing to us as a family. We are so grateful for her impact here on us and the students of Dublin.
Coffee/Tea. Our primary avenue of connecting with students is through conversation, which is best accompanied by a cup of tea. We had coffee with students every week on two different campuses. We’re thankful for the conversation and hope to be on 3-4 campuses consistently in the coming semester.
God on Tap. Thanks to our great friend Julian Hamilton, Methodist Chaplain at Trinity College Dublin, we were given the opportunity to help host a conversation about faith and God. Believers and unbelievers alike met and shared experiences and ideas. We hope to do many more in 2014.
Carol Services. Again, in partnership with Julian, we were able to collaborate on two carol services designed to creatively share the story of Christmas with students in Dublin. This was our second year for this type of event and we pray for more to come.
Those are just a few aspects of a really great year. Next week we’ll share our goals and prayers for 2014. Thank you for all your prayers and support this past year. You make this ministry possible.
