This past Sunday evening we had the pleasure of speaking at Clinton First Assembly of God. There we met Irene...at 91 years of age she has many stories to tell.
She lived through the Great Depression and two world wars. She also had two bouts with cancer...both times miraculously healed.
Irene has attended Clinton First AG since 1948 and has held every position at the church, except as the preacher. Everywhere she goes, it is her goal to lead someone to Jesus. She told us a story of how she led a 100 year old woman to Christ as they shopped for wrinkle cream.
Irene prays for missionaries everyday. She keeps a stack of prayer cards, holds them one at a time, and prays for each one by name.
Irene embodies the indiscriminate call of all believers to missions.
I'm convinced, the Irene's of this world are the driving force empowering missionaries all over the world.
Do you have any Irene's in your life?
