I Love White Boards

We just finished our monthly Unshamed Conference planning session. Some days I wake up thinking, “How are we going to pull this conference off? What do we need to do next?” These creative meetings are always encouraging and centering for me. They remind me how you eat an elephant…one bite at a time. Something about putting ideas onto the white board helps me see things so much more clearly.

I’m thankful for our team here, and I’m VERY excited about what’s coming for this years’ conference. We’re not quite ready to reveal the new brand and logo, but that will be coming soon. For now please be praying for wisdom, inspiration, encouragement, and funding as we prep for registration to open in March. This event will be crucial in the lives of so many women as we help them overcome shame and brokenness.

Sound Discipleship

I absolutely LOVE my boys. I enjoy spending time with them, even when they frustrate me. I’m thankful for every moment. It moves my heart when they get excited to see me do what I do and even more-so when they want to DO what I do.

This past Sunday at church I was scheduled to run sound. Eden asked if he could sit in on “grown-up church” and help me run sound. I taught him how to mute and unmute, move the faders up and down, and he even mixed a little of one of the songs.

The title of this post is obviously a play on words, but I do believe that my interaction with Eden is a great metaphor for what discipleship can/should look like. We walk alongside one another, learning, trying things, making mistakes, experiencing wins.

Discipleship is messy but amazing. I’m so thank for my privilege and responsibility of raising and discipling Eden and Eli. I imagine at the end of my life, I will look back on these moments as my greatest in ministry.

2024 Happy New Year!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years with family and friends. We had a wonderful low-key holiday with Katy’s mom in and staying close to home. That said, I’m so excited to get started back up. 2024 is going to be full, hard, tough, and amazing! As we ramp up this week for the new term and new year, here are a few things you can be watching out for and praying with us for 2024.

• New look, brand, and website for Zoe Community!

• Launch sequence activated! (the official launch of Zoe Community publicly offering services tentatively scheduled for October of this year)

• Brand new Unshamed Conference this September!

These are just a few of the major things on our plate that we’ll be working on in the coming months. Please be praying that our planning and work is fruitful and guided by the Holy Spirit. We’re so excited for 2024!!
