Training Plan

We are very excited about what God has in store for training volunteers with Zoe. We know some of the basics that need to be a part of the curriculum, but that’s about it.

I (Katy) don’t have a background in counseling, so this part of the process is uncharted territory. I have put some feelers out there for people with counseling backgrounds who might have time for something like this. We would love for you guys to be in prayer for this:

  • That the right people would have the time and desire to help plan the training curriculum.

  • For many professionals, an extra side project takes away from the limited free time they have. But God has the right people in mind who have space to breathe and to contribute their skill to Zoe.

God has been speaking to me lately about his provision. It has no limits. He isn’t phased in the slightest when we are working beyond our usual scope or means. He has already been where we’re poised to go and has prepared all the things we need upon our arrival. If God is also challenging you in your life, remember that he won’t ever leave you empty. Resources and courage are yours, from your Father in heaven who cares!

Family Break

We are celebrating our 7 year anniversary of arriving in Ireland! We just got back from a much-needed break in Kilkenny. We stayed at a hotel that had some kid-friendly activities: an indoor pool, an outdoor playground, farm animals, and even kid-sized chocolate milk bottles at breakfast. Blake and I each got to take turns enjoying the hot tub and relaxation room (for grown ups only). We went and visited a nearby reptile habitat and a kids soft play place with huge slides. We work hard and play hard, too!

We have come back greatly refreshed and ready to get back into the work that God has called us to do. Happy 7 years to us and here’s to many more.
