Mom Was Here

It was an amazing three weeks having my (Blake's) mom here. We had a great time with Mom here visiting a few new historical sites, walks around our house, and morning chats over coffee. The kids were SO happy to be with their Nana.

I often am reminded how lucky we are to have such supportive and loving parents, brothers, and sisters. This past year or two has been especially difficult not being able to visit them in the U.S. for various reasons. Not once have they expressed frustration or made us feel guilty. They do everything they can to visit us as often as possible.

We are so fortunate to have them in our lives. And we thank God for blessing us with the opportunities we've had to be together. It's never as often as we want, but God is faithful to sustain us all during times of separation. We are also so very thankful for things like FaceTime, keeping us connecting on some level at all times.

This team is a huge help in keeping our heads up when we begin to miss family. Thank you for all your love, prayers, and support. We are so blessed to be on this team with you.

Prayer

Please be praying this week. We are still working on visa stuff. There are a few things in motion in which we need God to give us favour. We're asking God to move and open doors.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support.

LEGO Building

I sat in a coffee shop today helping Eden make something out of legos. We followed the instructions waiting to see what the final product would look like. As we put piece by piece together, over and over Eden would ask, "Why does that piece go there Daddy?" I would answer each time, "I don't know. Let's keep building and see." I felt like God was showing me something.

We go through life dealing with various ups and downs, highs and lows, mountains and valleys. We find ourselves asking God why things happen or why certain pieces are put in certain places. Sometimes it's simply impossible to understand the finished product in the middle of construction. Sometimes it's impossible to comprehend why the road twists and turns on this journey through life.

We must continue building. We must continue walking. Because someday, even if we don't understand why, we will experience the good that God will bring from each and every situation. If we do not press onward, we will never see the promises God has given come true in our lives. God has a plan and purpose for us, which can only be found by walking the journey of life.

So hang in there. Hold on tight to God, His presence, and His Word.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support. I pray you are all trusting in the ONE who created us all.
