5 in 2015

Here are 5 things that happened in 2015. Its a year-in-review if you will...

1. Portia's Alpha group at IT Carlow became a recognized student group on campus. Katy connects with Portia every week, helping her reach students on her campus.
2. We feel that we have clarified vision and direction for 2016 regarding Students for Christ Dublin. While we are still very much in the early stages, we are excited to walk through open doors and see God-given momentum begin to build.
3. In July 2015 we had a miscarriage. We had never been through that kind of loss in our lives. It was incredibly difficult, but God held us every step of the way.
4. We recently completed a successful support raising trip to the U.S. We are able to do what we do through generous giving and prayers of individuals, churches, and businesses in the U.S. God provided, as He always does, and we were able to raise the funds needed to continue ministry for the next few years.
5. We are happy to announce that we are pregnant again! We were a little anxious at first given our recent miscarriage, but this baby is looking perfectly healthy and we can't wait to meet our new child in June 2016.

Thank you all for your consistency, not only financially, but in your prayers. Prayers pave the way for the road God leads us down. Your financial givings allows us to take advantage of opportunities that come our way on this journey.

Together we are making a difference in Ireland. We can't wait to see what God will bring in 2016!

And Baby Makes Four

We are pleased to announce the upcoming arrival of the newest Edgmon family member! God has blessed us with this new little life and has continued healing our hearts from all that had gone on with the last pregnancy. 

We had our first visit with the doctor as well as an ultrasound, revealing a healthy (and feisty) 14-week little bean. The baby bump is steadily growing and Katy is coming out of the period of almost constant nausea. We have adjusted to the time difference and are slowly getting ourselves back to normal. Thanks to everybody for your prayers and encouragement as we've made the transition back to Ireland life. 

For now, here is a video that you have probably seen. It perfectly encapsulates the feelings of a pregnancy the second time around! 

Back to Dublin

This is officially the final post of #EdgmonTour15. We are now back in Dublin getting settled in to our new house. (If you don't remember, we had to move house the day before we left for the US.) Let me give you a short recap of our last few months.

Seven states, 6,000 miles, 22 services, and dozens of coffee meetings later we can say that it was a busy but successful trip. While we made sure to fit in plenty of family time, our primary goal was to raise ministry funds for the next season of ministry. We believe we hit our minimum goal. Praise the Lord! We will, however, need to eventually reach our maximum goal, but for now we are feeling great about the future. 

We want to be available to whatever God is asking us to do. To that end, we will continue to build this ministry fund as strong as possible. Whether you are currently on our support team or not, it is not too late to help us build this ministry fund. 

God has already provided in a big way, therefore we are believing for very big things. And we will continue to look forward to His provision, that we might make His name known on the university campuses of Ireland. 

Thank you for all your prayers and support. It has truly been one of the toughest few months since Eden was born. Your encouragement and spiritual investment provides the foundation from which the ministry funds given can be used for God's glory.

HUGE shout out to this little guy. He travelled nearly every mile we did, to nearly every church. He did great!
