Eden Update

Here's a quick update on our son. Eden is now 19 months (a year and a half for those of us who can't do the month counting very well). He's growing so fast and learning so much!! Here's a few things about him.

Words he can say: ball, door, trousers, socks, shoes, shirt (which he says as if there's no 'r'), car, cup, toast, milk, apple, "night night", "bye bye", "the end", book, hot, stove, "all gone", and a few others I can't remember right now. He also makes a few animal noises, which is gladly shares with anyone on the street.

He's growing healthy and strong. He's obviously going to be a singer like daddy. Thanks for your prayers and support. Katy, Eden, and I are so honoured to be on this team with you.

SFC Europe Prayer Weekend

Every year, we go to the annual Students for Christ Europe  prayer weekend. It is a time for all of us doing student ministry to come together and pray for European university students. 

This year, it was held in Krakow, Poland, and Katy was SFC Ireland's official representative. There was a day of prayer and fasting, as each nation presented their report on the year. Interspersed through the next two days was a business meeting, discussion about our upcoming conference, and some sightseeing. 

It was a great weekend of encouragement and networking...we are looking forward to many more to come! We are honoured be part of a movement spreading across this continent.

Prayers for the Weekend

The weekend coming up will be a crazy one for us. Here's a quick update and ways you can pray.

Katy will be heading to Krakow, Poland on Thursday to spend the weekend at Students for Christ Europe's (SFC) annual prayer weekend. She will be representing SFC Ireland by presenting the current state of SFC as well as overall goals for the nation and individual groups. She will be joining SFC workers from all over the continent. From Spain to Sweden, Ireland to Greece, all of these great people committed to the work of the Lord on the university campuses of Europe will gather to update and pray for one another. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will communicate through Katy, and that she will returned refreshed and empowered to continue the work here in Ireland.

 Eden and I (Blake) will remain in Dublin for Assemblies of God Ireland's (AGI) annual leadership conference, Engage. This is a particularly important weekend as our pastor and friend, Sean Mullarkey, will be installed as the interim National Leader for AGI. It will be a huge responsibility for Sean as well as St. Mark's Church, of which Sean is and will remain the lead pastor. I also have the honour of leading worship at this Engage Conference. Please pray that I will be led by the Spirit in leading worship and supporting Sean this weekend. Please pray for Sean as he steps into an enormous role with giant shoes to fill, following PJ Booth who served faithfully and fruitfully. Also, pray for me that I take care of Eden. When mom's away, we stay in our pajamas and eat out every meal.
