OK RoadTrip
We've been privileged to make many new friends since we've been in Ireland. Sean and Susan Mullarkey (pastors of St. Marks Church) rank at the top of the many kind, welcoming, loving people we know. They and their children have been a huge blessing in our lives. Not only are they our pastors, they are our friends.
The past week Sean Mullarkey and I (Blake) have been traveling Oklahoma connecting with pastors and supporters, sharing what God is doing in Ireland. It's such an honour of introducing him to some of our wonderful team. So far we've been to Guthrie, Shawnee, Oklahoma City, Norman, Moore, Edmond, Tulsa, Sand Springs, Mustang, Lawton and more...and we still have another week of travel left!
Please know that if we could get with each of you we definitely would. Unfortunately with such a short trip we simply can't make it everywhere. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support.
Why We Blog
Welcome, again, to our brand new site. Katy and I thought it would be appropriate to use our first post of this new blog to explain why it is that we open our hearts to you every week on this website.
- First, we want to update our support team. We believe that Katy and I are just pieces of the larger team called to Ireland. There are literally hundreds of people in the U.S. praying for us and giving financially. Individuals, churches, and business...these wonderful men and women are the driving force of this team. When we refer to "our team" on this blog, we're referring to us as well as all of you who give and pray so we can be here in Ireland.
- Second, we want the people of Ireland to know us. In Ireland, it's all about relationships. We want this blog to help the people of Ireland understand our hearts and get to know us better. We hope to see new relationships form through this site.
- Third, we write for us. We need a platform to communicate. Sometimes we give practical updates. Other times we post stuff we've been thinking about or struggling with. Whatever it is that we post, it helps us to know that people are listening. It helps us to know that we're not alone.
For those that give and pray, we are honoured to serve on this team with you. For those that just enjoy reading, we're so excited to include you in our lives. Whichever group you're in, we pray this blog informs and blesses you.
Rock and roll and happy reading.
