Blake graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in music performance in 2000. Katy graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in nursing and then completed her master's degree in midwifery at Vanderbilt University in 2008. Blake and Katy met in 2006 while Blake was working with a campus ministry at Louisiana State University and married on June 13, 2009. They started working together ministering to college students at the University of Oklahoma, where they served for over three years. While on a mission trip helping with an outreach in Dublin, Ireland, in July 2009, they felt that university ministry was a great need in Ireland. After many months of prayer, Katy and Blake believe that God is calling them to Dublin to reach the people of Ireland through one of the most strategic mission fields on earth...the university campus.
